Gilsbar was honored with the Platinum Award from the American Heart Association for the Start! Fit-Friendly Company Program. The AHA rewards companies for their progressive leadership in health and highlight their concern for their staff.
The Platinum Award is given annually to companies that not only all of the Gold level criteria- offering employees physical activity support, increasing healthy eating options, promoting a wellness culture, implementing at least six of the physical activities, two nutrition activities, and one culture activity- but also demonstrate at least one behavior change specified, achieve one cost savings outcome, and achieve a positive return on investment.
The AHA now recognizes Gilsbar as a Platinum Award recipient, cultivating a culture of health in the workplace.
