As a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilsbar Holdings, LLC, MedCom Care Management is a
medical management organization developed to provide cost containment programs
to employer sponsored plans. These plans consist of fully insured and
self-insured employers or professional associations. MedCom serves over 43,000
participant lives.

Utilization Management
(UM)
MedCom Care Management's UM services are designed to ensure that healthcare
services are appropriate for the patient's medical condition, delivered timely,
provided at the least costly level of care and will produce a high quality
outcome. Pre-authorization requests can be initiated via telephone, fax or
online.

Case Management Program
MedCom Care Management's Case Management program provides additional services
to manage high dollar cases and minimize future large claim expenditures
related to catastrophic illness, injury or chronic disease.
Our program stresses personal contact with patients, employers and providers.
The Case Manager serves as the patient's advocate by facilitating a
comprehensive individualized care plan to address medical, psychological, social
and environmental needs.

Maternity Management Program

management program specifically designed to provide information and education to women
to help avoid complications of pregnancy and pre-term delivery. Handle with Care™
produces tangible improvements in maternity outcomes, contributes to a reduction in
the incidence of pre-term delivery, low birthweight infants and infant morbidity,
while promoting cost savings for employers and participants. Our goal is to educate and encourage
early and consistent prenatal care, thereby improving the health of moms and babies and reducing
maternity costs.
