Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA), & Health Savings Account (HSA)

Qualified medical expenses are those expenses paid for medical care as described in Section 213(d) of the Internal Revenue Code. IRS Publication 502, titled "Medical and Dental Expenses", may be accessed at provides more detailed information on eligible medical expenses. The following is a brief summary of information and is intended to serve as a quick reference to help determine whether or not an expense may be eligible for HSA reimbursement. Some expenses (for example, dental and vision expenses) may be paid from your Health Savings Account, but are not covered benefits under your High Deductible Heath Plan.
