Henry Miltenberger founded the company in 1959 as a partnership with the Louisiana State Bar Association (giving Gilsbar its name: Group Insurance Louisiana State Bar). This partnership launched a national insurance services provider that now employs more than 480 trusted professionals. We are honored to continue to serve our very first customer, the LSBA, and many other distinguished clients over the decades. We hope you will be one of them!

Ryan joined Gilsbar in 2012 and during that time has directed business development, management and strategy for all aspects of the Property & Casualty, Group Benefits and TPA Outsourcing divisions. Additionally, he has contributed to all other aspects of corporate leadership and strategy during his tenure. The role of President and CEO transitioned to Mr. Haun in January 2021 as the culmination of a lengthy succession established by his predecessor.
Prior to Gilsbar, he owned an insurance restoration company performing contracting work throughout the Southeast and Midwestern US. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Drafting and Design from Missouri State University.
Vice President, CFO
Becky joined Gilsbar in 2017 and is responsible for the financial and people side of the business, coordinating both finance and human resources to achieve company goals. With over 25 years of experience in the accounting sector, Ms. Pathoumthong worked at Arthur Andersen, Stryker Corporation, and Alfasigma USA, Inc. prior to joining Gilsbar. She is a member of the Society of Louisiana CPA’s and received her Bachelor of Science in management with a concentration in accounting from Tulane University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
President of Health & Life, COO
As President of Health & Life and Chief Operating Officer, Schott has focused on continuous process improvement and creating efficiencies across all aspects of the Gilsbar TPA. Over the years, her role has included oversight of information technology, compliance, account management, and most recently, MedCom Care Management LLC. Her insurance industry experience began as a professional liability loss prevention counsel for the Louisiana State Bar Association before running Gilsbar Specialty Insurance Services LLC, Gilsbar’s professional liability division. Prior to joining Gilsbar, she practiced law for 10 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of New Orleans and graduated from Loyola University School of Law.
Vice President of Health and Life
At Gilsbar, Ms. Randazzo oversees sales, account management, marketing, wellness and implementation teams for Gilsbar’s self-funded, association and affinity clients. Prior to joining Gilsbar, Ms. Randazzo worked as an underwriter with Ochsner Health Plan and as an account representative with USI Services, Inc. She has been with Gilsbar for 17 years and employed in the healthcare insurance industry for 25 years.
A graduate of the University of New Orleans, Ms. Randazzo received her Bachelor of Science in Management in 1997 and her Master of Business Administration in 2002.
Vice President of Health and Life
Mr. Johnson joined Gilsbar in 2009 and has over 20 years of experience in population health and operational management. His responsibilities at Gilsbar include medical management, contracts and compliance, facilities management, and data analytics. Under Mr. Johnson’s leadership, Gilsbar’s Population Health Management division was awarded Employer of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association multiple years. He has extensive experience in product development developing various health strategies to improve clinical and financial outcomes. Prior to Gilsbar, Mr. Johnson held the position of Director of Medical Management for Humana’s Southeast region where he was responsible for over 1 million commercial lives. Paul sits on the Advisory Council of the CDC’s Employer Learning Collaborative for the National Diabetes Prevention Program.
Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Northwestern State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
